In an attempt to encourage users to sign up for the companies upcoming new music subscription service, YouTube are set to increase the number of ads for people you use the platform for music streaming purposes.
The new proposed music subscription service will include exclusive videos, playlists and other perks such as these. At the moment it is already being tested by thousands of Google employees.
Lyor Cohen, YouTube’s Global Head of Music, says it will “frustrate and seduce” users of its free service.
Cohen says that the company aims to make changes to become “good partners” to the music industry.
